As of September 30th, 2008 feedlots in the United States will no longer be accepting any cattle that cannot be deemed of United States, Mexican or Canadian origin - and many will only accept cattle of known U.S. origin.

By utilizing the Born and Raised in the USA® Country of Origin Affidavit/Declaration you, as the original owner of the cattle, are able to attest to their United States origin. This allows you to sell your cattle as Country of Origin Labeling (COOL) compliant, making the transfer from ranch to backgrounder, feedlot, or packer much easier.
