Country of Origin Labeling (COOL) legislation requires all cattle sold in the United States to be accompanied by an approved Country of Origin document. This includes anything from third-party verification programs for Source to simple affidavit/declaration statements.

As a feedlot, this means that you are required to know or have a means for attesting the source of all cattle at your facility. But, this is obviously not as easy as it sounds.
